Lapghan❤

I decided to make a surprise gift for a dear friend.  It's been delivered. :)

Pattern: "The Wool Eater Blanket" designed by Sarah London

Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Solids

I received the most sincere response - her tears of joy! This lapghan matches the colors of her room.

This pattern is written in UK terminology, however, if you just follow the pattern, you will not miss that you need to do Treble Crochet Stitches (tr) instead of Double Treble (dtr).

This lapghan came out thick and rather heavy since it requires lots of yarn, and it would keep you toasty warm. :)

Ripple Afghan

It feels great to have something to share with everyone and post again!!!
I missed doing this so much!

I have just finished a ripple afghan for my son, and it's the first project on my year 2006 album. :)
I would try to pick up little chances to work on it so it had progressed very slowly, but I'm glad it's finally done!
This afghan reduced my stash of RHSS nicely. :)


So how is everyone doing? :)

It seems that the fiber art world is having some exciting Olympics here and there, and I so wish I could participate!
I look forward to seeing participants' achievements. :)

My 63 Square Afghan !!!

OK everyone, I DID IT!!! I finished this afghan! I don't dance, but today I feel like it! LOL Anyways, here is the completed picture:

Joining wasn't too bad, and the border was great! Last night, I worked on this afghan like I was obsessed until I finished it. I probably scared my hubby a bit. LOL

I sooo love this afghan! Now I don't know what to do with it. LOL I am thinking..... maybe I can make it a wedding gift for my son. He is only three now though... (^^;) Well, Hubby said he can make a cedar chest for the afghan if I really decide to save it until our son gets married. I like the idea! Yayyyy!!! I'm just so happy! (*^_^*)

Today is my 3 yr-old's first day of school in the U.S.! He was scared at first, but I just received a phone call from one of the teachers, and she told me he is doing just fine. Oh, what a relief. (^^;)

He needed a small pillow to take to school so we bought him one, but I thought about the pillow Jennifer made. I had some Homespun yarn so I just had to make one too. (^_^)



I added a large bandana...


I just crocheted in round with DC, and crocheted 2 rows of SC to close the sides.

Starting the 63 square afghan

I finally got my yarn for the 63 square afghan and finished the first single crochet stitch square over the weekend. ;D

    

My yarn is Caron's "Perfect Match". The colors are, from your left, Taupe 7751, Rose 7709, and Cape Cod Blue 7736.
I used size H hook as suggested, and the size came out fine for this square. I have started on square #2, but it seems like I have to use smaller hook to get the size right.

I also made these. :)

The patterns are from Leisure Arts booklet, "Kitchen Decor".
