I'm Chie (pronounced "chee-ay"). I'm originally from Japan, and I live in the South with my loving family.
I am never far from yarn, crochet hooks, and knitting needles! 😊 I occasionally write patterns, test patterns, and make samples. I also love hairpin lace crochet and Tunisian crochet.
I'm happiest when I find a great free pattern with which I can make gifts for people I care about. When autumn arrives, I start looking for patterns and yarn to make garments, amigurumi, scarves, etc... In the spring, I just got to crochet doilies with thread. I wouldn't know what to do if I lived in a place where there is just one season or loooong summer! 😃
The women in my family have inspired me - I'm the 3rd generation crocheter & knitter! Women in hubby's family also crochet. :) My husband and son are such great supporters of my passion.
I'm a survivor of adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I can't tell you how much crochet & knitting helped me through my recovery. Even when I'm too sick to crochet, I always had a ball of yarn and a crochet hook on my bedside dreaming of what I'll make, then when I got well enough, I just couldn't stop crocheting. :)
Love,
